Coming to an end..

So my plans for working hard from the day we got our easter hols has gone out the window. I've got the flu! Been sick all week but yesterday it got bad! Thanks Jonny for getting me lempsip!

Other than that though, really happy with the progress of my project. I've everything finished, just need to tidy it up a bit! Seamus was a big help during the week, he helped me work the imaging shrinking java code into my project. That was the last big thing on my list to fix! So now need to get the report together. Hard to string a sentence though! Lol

Too many servlets?!

There has been a lot of progress with my project in the last few weeks. I'm finished designing and coding all of the pages except for one. So now I have come to an annoying problem - my servlets!! The log in is not staying in the session from one servlet to the next. Liz says that I need to put everything into one servlet (tried that and flash doesn't like it!!) so I dunno what to do?! I don't really have time to be chaging my coding. Everything works.. just not all at the same time! lol.

I got my download thingy working yesterday! Didn't have to use the confusing download bean, thank you actionscript! So next week I will be filming a few short clips for my project. Mike has agreed to be my actor and Jonny will be the voice over guy. Hopefully we can pull it off! So this weekend I will be working on my gallery page (which is turning out to be very difficult!) and the image placeholders in the see, feel and calm pages will need to be changed. Hurray for nearly being finished!

Spend most of the day scratching my head trying to figure out this gallery page! Got images showing but not sure what I'm at!!

So below is a screen shot of my gallery page. I'm trying to think of a good way to layout the user's photos. Hmmm... I'm sure I'll come up with something! Within the project I have the home, see, feel and member pages nearly 100% and I just need to work on the gallery and calm pages. The project is really coming together. I'm pleased with how it is working. Saying that though, there are loads of little things that need to be done in order for the site to look right!

So today I'm going to get the gallery page designed and working, and tomorrow I'll start on the calm page. In the calm page people will be able to download podcasts and the likes so I'll have to figure out how to get that working! lol

So I've been thinking about how to add image and video into my see (aka - symptoms) page. Since I have so much happening visually in the website, it's hard to add in anything else!! But I think that this idea will work well and not be too cluttered! This method will also apply to the Feel page as that is about symptoms too. Can't wait to have this part working so I can move onto the Calm page.. Lol

Had the presentation this week. Not sure how it went really. I had alot of stuff nearly working but not well enough to show anyone. So that was a bit annoying. Working hard on the coding this week. I've got the 'create account' thing working now. It takes the user's details and saves into the database. I'm pretty happy with that. I think that if I get everything fecked together at this stage, then I can spend time getting it right later.

Tweening and the likes..

Been working on my transitions so much lately! Found a silly probelm today - the gradient backgrounds go crazy when tweened!!! Argh!!! I know how to overcome this problem but it will take time that I don't have! So I will be leaving them in a bit of a mess for the presentation on Thursday. Oh well! Workng on my second last page now. Need to come up with a few icons for the features availible to the user and the coding to make these features work. Busy busy!!

Oh and not too sure how to get my project proposal on the blog, any ideas?

Spend about three hours last night working on my navigation. Came up with a great way to get it all connecting. Still needs a few tweeks. A bit jumpy at the minute but I'm going to get it working correctly today. Not too sure what I'm going to have done for this presentation! Oh well. I'm happy with how the project is coming along so far.

College work vs. Rag week!

I currently have my home, see and feel pages linking! Yay! It took alot of fiddling around but it seems to look okay now. I also had a chat with Liz about the code I was having trouble with, got it sorted so I'm ready to move on to the next stage. I will try to upload some more images and a few swfs if I can figure out how. I will be busy working on my project this week so I'm sure I'll have more waffle up soon!
